Michael Franko

New Jersey-based Michael Franko is a managing member of Paddock Court Trading and leads a dedicated commodities trading advisor (CTA) team. He also oversees the hedge fund Pangea Partners and counterparts such as Arbitrage Trading, LLC. In addition, with extensive experience in the macroeconomics of metals, he has been a member of the Copper Advisory Board on the New York Commodity Exchange.

Mr. Franko completed his political science and economics degree at Bucknell University in 1982. He subsequently pursued an MBA at Fordham University while working as part of the metal sales and trading desk at Marmon’s Cerro Sales Corp.

Over the next two decades, Mr. Franko held increasing responsibility and trading positions with firms such as Willowbridge Associates and Refco. His work in options led to trading underlying futures contracts, and he oversaw forwards, spreads, and physical traffic. Passionate about boating and the beach, Michael Franko enjoys taking trips to coastal locales in his free time.
